Murphy

Murphy is a smashing 6 year old castrated bridle staffie, he gets on with most dogs as long as they are not in his face, he is partially trained but he has a problem with leads which is getting better but will need his new Mum & Dad to be patient until he gets over this problem. He doesn't like cats, that said, he is a really friendly little chap who needs a new home desperately as he has been in kennels for a year now. Ideally, his new home would have a big garden where his new Mum & Dad wouldn't need to take him for a walk.

Red

Time at shelter: Over a year

Red is a 5 year old castrated staffie boy who was abandoned by his pervious owner and is looking for a new loving Mum & Dad. In the time he has been with us he hasn't shown any bad habits, and he is generally a happy dog.
Doesn't get along with other dogs but is very playful with people. Suitable for experienced owners. Trained and partially house trained.

Oscar

Oscar, a 10-year-old brindle boxer, has proven he is a strong and determined character.
Several years ago, vets gave him just a year to live after they diagnosed a lump on his nose as a mass cell tumour. Now the lump has become isolated and is causing him no problems.
Oscar is happiest chilling out on a bed and watching TV. He would be best suited to an owner with experience looking after older dogs.
Joanne said: “He is an old man who makes few demands.
“He is looking for a happy, calm home that can offer lots of cuddles to see out his twilight years.”

Alfie

Alfie is a three-year-old Shar Pei cross.
Joanne said: “He is fairly obedient but will need a firm hand as he is starting to become a little dominant.
“Ideally he needs to be the only dog in the household but may be OK with some bitches.”
Alfie needs to be castrated.

Brownie

Brownie and his brother came to us because their dad died. He is a neutered
3 year old and has been used to living outside so it is unlikely that he is house trained, he walks well on the lead and once he gets to know you he is very friendly.

Poor Ben came to us because his Dad died, we don't know how old he is but we think he is between 7 and 8, a really soppy lad who is good with children and other dogs he is desperate for a new home.

Curly Tail

Curly tail and his brother came to us because their dad died. He is 3 years old and has been used to living outside so it is unlikely that he is house trained. Out of the two he is the most timid, although he is getting better everyday. He isn't quite ready to be re-homed yet but we think he will be fine once he has settled down.

Jet

Jet is a 4 year old crossbreed that came to us because his owner is in and out of hospital and cannot look after him anymore. He is house trained, very good with children and other dogs, but not cats.

Jumble

Jumble is another dog that came to us because the kennel he was at has a policy of putting dogs down after a certain amount of time. However, we don't and we think he deserves a chance to get a new Mum or Dad. He is black and white with a brown tinge he is a very playful boy of about 4 years old, however, he doesn't get on with other dogs.

Jetta

Jetta is 2 year old Rottweiler Bitch, she was rehomed as a puppy from here, but unfortunately the family has split up so Jetta is now without a home.
She is a lovely girl who gets on well with other dogs and is good with children. She is a strong girl who needs to be lead trained.

Sadie is a 4 year old crossbreed that came to us because her owner is in and out of hospital and cannot look after her anymore. She is house trained, very good with children but not other dogs or cats.

Sam

Sam is a 10 month old cross breed, he is house trained but does have the occasional accident. He was originally re-homed by another kennels as a 5 month old puppy but came to us because he wasn't getting on with the older male dog at home. We are told that he gets on well with children and travels well. He would suit a home where he is the only pet.

Spike

Spike is a 3 year male cross breed who does not get on with other dogs or cats. We are told that he is fine with children and is partially lead trained. However, he can be a bit of an escape artist so his new owners must have a secure garden or area where he can be let out. He is friendly enough with people but he is a handful and will need experienced owners to keep him in check.
